Janan English Cocker Spaniels in New Zealand

WELCOME

Janan Cocker Spaniels is a small show kennel based in Blenheim, New Zealand. We are proud of our progress and results to date and look forward to continuing making our mark, not just in the show ring but we are also involved in Obedience, and Agility, along with my daughters.

I do not operate a full time kennel, and my dogs are also family pets,so you can understand why temperament and soundness is very important to me.

Most weekends over the Summer months you'll find us at a dog show, and during the winter months we're out training on cold dark nights for Obedience and Agility. We are currently campaigning the young dog Henry who was imported to New Zealand in December 2009, and a puppy Shay. I will be breeding for temperament, type and soundness. All my dogs are DNA tested CLEAR for both PRA-prcd and FN, and careful consideration goes into my breeding plans. I breed mainly Blue Roan, along with the occasional Orange Roan and Black.

My website is primarily to showcase our own English Cocker Spaniels but I also hope it will provide a source of reference for others, through the collection of information that I have found from varying sources, in my quest to learn more. I often get emails from people asking about this or that and I am happy to answer any enquiries if possible, and through this I've met some very lovely cocker owners and received some beautiful photo's.
