Janan Cocker Spaniels is a small show kennel based in Blenheim, New Zealand. I'm proud of our progress and results to date and look forward to continuing making our mark.
I do not operate a full time kennel, and my dogs are also a huge part of our family as pets, so you can understand why temperament and soundness is very important to me.
Most weekends over the Summer months you'll find us at a dog show, and during the winter months we're out training on cold dark nights for Obedience and Agility.
I will be breeding for type, temperament and soundness. All my dogs are DNA tested for both PRA-prcd and FN, and careful consideration goes into my breeding plans. I breed mainly Blue Roan, along with the occasional Orange Roan and Black.
My website is primarily to showcase our own English Cocker Spaniels but I also hope it will provide a source of reference for others, through the collection of information that I have found from varying sources, in my quest to learn more. I often get emails from people asking about this or that and I am happy to answer any enquiries if possible, and through this I've met some very lovely cocker owners and received some beautiful photo's.
