I live with my husband Phil, 4 daughters and our cocker spaniels, in Blenheim New Zealand. I am interested in and compete in Showing & Obedience, Chelsea's into Agility and Zoe is into breed showing, Briar has just started in the handlers classes and Ruby is just happy to tag alongat this stage being to young to compete. While Phil prefers golf or riding his Harley Davidson, he can be found most 'dog days' holding a dog or organising someone and has even stewarded when required.

The purpose of my website is to help educate and encourage others in the care, training and participation in activities with their cocker spaniels and to promote respect, courtesy and sportsmanship amongst owners within the breed. You'll find information about grooming and general care for your cocker spaniel, along with contacts for NZKC registered breeders and clubs, plus some training information. It is a collection of information and contacts I've found in my search to know more about the breed and in preparation to compete with our own dogs.

We've worked hard to establish ourselves as serious contenders in the cocker spaniel breed, and are proud of our progress and results, and look forward to continuing making our mark in the show ring. We are also involved in other canine sports, Obedience, Fly ball and Agility, along with my eldest daughter Chelsea, and lately the 2 youngest daughter Briar and Ruby have been coming along with Zoe and I to enjoy competing at club level.

Over the summer months you'll often find us away at a dog show, and during the winter months we're out training on cold dark nights for Obedience. I am currently campaigning a young dog Elspan Black Eyed Blues, Henry who was imported to New Zealand in December 2009, while Zoe has just brought her young puppy Elspan Forget Me Not at Janan into the ring. While my website is primarily to showcase our own English cocker spaniels it is also hoped it will provide a source of reference through the collection of artiicles etc for other interested in the breed. Some of this information is provided specifically for new owners, and am happy to share what knowledge I have with others who are interested.

One of the reasons I choose the cocker spaniel breed was due to its working ability, making this versatile little dog a wonderful companion and competitor in almost any canine sport. As a family we enjoy a diversity of interested with Zoe & I involved in breeding showing, and I also compete in Obedience, Chelsea our eldest daughters interest in Agility, Field trials and Tracking, although college is currently limiting her involvement in these areas. And Briar our 6 year old has recently starting in the handler classes.

We do not operate a full time kennel, and our dogs are also our house pets during the day, and with all we are involved in you’ll understand why temperament and soundness is very important to us.
