Phoenix is a very 'english' type cocker reflective of his english lines. with classic expression and merry temprament, good reach and drive and standing at 16".
Only shown a handful of times in Australia due to work committments, Phoenix is now part of the Janan Show team in NZ. It hasn't taken him long to gain his ring skills and confidence and I love showing this very honest dog. Phoenix is such fun, and every one who meets this dog just loves his laid back atttiude and his happy nature.
His pedigree, is based on Noel Boddy's Aust CH Arrunga Abrade. I am very grateful to Barbara for entrusting me with this dog and having the 'cocker passion' and breed integrity to help someone else.
Living With Phoenix:
Phoenix is the ture "merry cocker". You can just tell he's full of fun and mischeif, this happy boy is so eager to please its a delight to have him in our home.
Show Career:
Phoenix started his show career in January 2011 as a 2 year old, learning quickly whats exspected in the show ring and developing confidence with every outing at Open & Club show level. His first outing was a very sucessful start with Best of Breed, IOG and Intermediate in Show, and at the next show Best of Breed and Best of Group & RBIS. He is now a Mulri Best In Show Winner.
At Championship Level Phoenix has been awarded BOB, RBOB DCC's and RDCC's & IOB's plus Intermediate of Gundog Group.
Zoe, Phoenix and JDH:
After a very short 1st show season, Phoenix has been taking a well earned break over the winter and is set to return to the show ring on a premamnet basis with Zoe. This exciting young team will be one to watch for at JDH level.
Zoe has spent the past year gaining experince with others breeds, and made the top 10 NZ handlers for JDH. At just 14, the plan for the finals was to go enjoy the experience and learn more. She and Alice put on a credible performance at the finals last year and I was very proud.
This years is about learning to groom for herself and developing a strong team relationship with Phoenix and again making the Top 10.
