Zoe Hogg
Well knowing teenagers Zoe will probably "yell big time" when she see's this page, but I'm a proud Mum, and it's my website LOL.
Zoe started handling in 2008 at Club Shows with a westie called Bella. Looking back she has come such a very long way in 2 years, being selected as one of the Top Ten Junior Handlers in NZ 2010-2011.
Anyway we seem to have lots of photo's of Zoe with various dogs, some learning and some taken at shows, I've also included her JDH blurb,
Hi I’m Zoe Hogg
I've been a showing dog for the past 2 years, since I was 12. Coming from a non-show family everything was learnt by trial and error in the early days, but over the past year a number of kind people have leant dogs and taken the time to help me learn more about different breeds and handling.
I really enjoy the JDH competition, as its given me personal goals to work towards and achieve based on my own skills and how I interact and develop a bond with the dogs I am handling. And it’s exciting to be a part of the 2011 JDH finals.
After I started showing, Mum got keen and we got another dog, so now it’s a family sport. But with the opportunity to learn more about other breeds I’ve fallen in love with the Border Collie and hope to have my own in the future.
I am currently a Year 10 student at Marlborough Girls College, where I sing Alto in the choir. As well as singing and music, I spend time painting and drawing. I am an avid reader, and can spend hours with my nose in a good book. I also enjoy photography.
My goals for the next year are to learn more about the fine art of grooming and presenting my own dog for showing, and teaching and encouraging my younger sisters to join us in the show ring. I’m also looking forward to training my new dog for agility in the off show season.
