After the unexpected tragedy losing both our top dogs in the last 18months, I've kind of lost my pep.
Quinn - (NZCH Janan Can't Stop The Rhythm) passed in 2025, just days after being diagnosed with an aggressive lymphoma. Quin was always ready to show her socks off and tail waging right until the end. The tragedy with Quin is compounded by being let down by a breeder who promised semen by February 2025, but never seemed to get around to it... the still hasn't arrived... so Quinn is the end of the line.
Wilson (NZCH Janan The Marksman) passed in 2024 due to a brain tumour. Wilson's condition was awful, knowing there was something wrong I stopped showing him but vets could not identify what was wrong ...until the symptoms became aggressive and there was no doubt left. He actually sired a litter and the puppy was supposed to go to another breeder, I showed her in the interim (she had 6 BCC's) and then they changed their minds so she went to a lovely home where she is very successfully competing in scentwork - oh how I wish I'd kept her after losing her father !
